About Us
Ultimate Affairs was created by Nelia Da Silva and Teresa Medeiros who saw a need to bring the wonderful world of wedding planning to the KW area. They are a team of 4 passionate individuals who together help their clients achieve the wedding of their dreams... the Ultimate Wedding! UA planners are all certified through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC), which enables them to ensure their clients receive quality, professional wedding planning services at the highest standard possible.
Ultimate Affairs does not take the fun of planning away from their clients, instead we work closely with you; collaborating, brainstorming, detailing and in the end, planning elements of the day that will be remembered always. We aim to better understand the style and expectations’ of our couples, ultimately creating a wedding day unique and reflective of our bride and groom.

*Definition: Executive Coordinators are seasoned veterans when it comes to planning events and weddings. They are fully certified with the WPIC and continue to nurture their knowledge through course, conventions and seminars. These Coordinators have led the coordination on many Ultimate Affairs events. Associate Coordinators are fully trained and experienced in working with Ultimate Affairs and may also be certified with the WPIC. They have assisted the Executive Planners at many weddings in order to gain practical and logistical experience.

Teresa Medeiros, Executive Wedding Planner:
Owner and co-founder of Ultimate Affairs, Teresa attained her WPIC certification in 2005. For Teresa, planning weddings is the perfect opportunity to fuse her outstanding organizational skills with her love of food, fashion, décor and all the latest trends. Teresa takes a step back to see the big picture to ensure your wedding design has a cohesive look and feel that will impress your guests. With two kids and a big family, Teresa knows all about the juggling act that busy brides have to go through, and she’s ready to help with great ideas and a genuine excitement for your big event. |

Nelia Da Silva, Executive Wedding Planner:
Owner and co-founder of Ultimate Affairs, Nelia attained her WPIC certification in 2005. Her passion for weddings and close attention to detail help her to create the perfect day for her clients. Nelia draws from her experience to always remain calm under pressure, and is quick to see problems before they arise. She always has creative and unique ways to bring out the couples personality and style into their wedding. With four kids at home Nelia loves working with families and has great ideas to involve children in any event. Her love and experience with multicultural backgrounds is an asset to the company. Nelia is dedicated to ensure that her clients have fun while they plan making for a stress-free planning process. |

Shelley McGregor, Associate Wedding Planner:
Shelley joined the Ultimate Affairs team in 2008. WPIC certified since 2006, Shelley is an experienced planner who had already planned and executed various weddings and events, from small and intimate to large and extravagant. Since that time, Shelley has both lead and assisted many weddings at Ultimate Affairs. She is a vibrant member to our team. Her contagious smile and easy going personality makes her a bride’s best friend. Shelley has the ability to easily connect with her clients, which allows her to anticipate what they need before they know they need it. You can always count on Shelley to get the job done efficiently and on time. |

Lindsay Laur, Destination Wedding & Event Specialist:
Lindsay is our newest addition to the Ultimate Affairs team. After planning her own wedding from start to finish she brought on the Ultimate Affairs team to execute her special day. Her raw determination and pure talent for planning wedding became evident; she had every detail in place and all her guests walked away with a personalized memorable experience. She made our job quite easy! Her intuition, outgoing personality and skill sealed the deal for us. Lindsay became certified through WPIC in 2009 and is now Sandals Certified. She has also attained her Destination Wedding Certification and her TICO Certification. Lindsay is definitely our go-to girl for all weddings and events abroad.
